Homemade Oatmeal Facials For The Betty Crocker in Your Home

By Athena Hunter

Clean, Clear, Beautiful skin is every woman's goal. The face is the most popular area to want this skin. This is why so many people spend so much money on expensive beauty products. It is why so many people spend money and time in spas and with beauticians.

Half a cup of oatmeal ground into a powder is the first step. Next in a separate dish, mix together plain yogurt and honey in equal parts. Now blend everything together until you have a smooth paste.

Spread the mixture onto your face, taking care to avoid the skin around your eyes. After fifteen minutes remove with a warm wash cloth. That feels nice now doesn't it?

Mix together a third of a cup of oatmeal with a half cup of hot water.

While you let this sit and thicken prepare the other stuff. Now carefully combine some yogurt, honey and egg whites thoroughly. Now combine all ingredients. with your hands spread the mixture onto your face avoiding the area around the eyes. Let sit until dry. You can use a warm cloth to rinse or simply take a shower and rinse there.

Dampen three tablespoons of oatmeal with a little bit of water and then add two teaspoons of witch hazel. Apply to your face using upward, circular motions, after mixing the ingredients together. Leave on your face for a couple moments, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Then use a soft, dry towel to pat your face dry.

With all of the options out there it might be fun to even try developing one of your own too. You'll want to be sure and do a patch test before you smear any mix onto your skin and end up with irritation. With any luck you will find an oatmeal facial that helps you cleanse and moisturize your skin for far less than you would have spent at a spa or on facial ingredients.
