10 Essential Tips For Healthy And Natural Weight Loss

Let me highlight one vital fact that I have learnt from my previous failed attempts to lose weight before I talk about anything else. A HEALTHY diet that can make you lose 10 lbs of weight in a week simple doesn't exist! Don't get let down by this truth! I have to tell you this beforehand so that you will not surrender your weight loss plan after your first week of not-so-obvious results. However, these following tips can promise you a healthy and consistent weight loss which may come slow. I have managed to go from 170 lbs to 112 lbs over nine months of following these tips. These great tips made my dream body possible and I also hope they can help you too!

Tip Number 1: Take notice of the calories.

You should look at the calories per serving for the food you are picking up to eat or you are putting into your grocery shopping cart. Calorie intake per day should be tabbed daily. You probably have heard many times that excess fat forms when there are more calorie intake than that burned. It is generally a good idea to have 1500 to 2000 calories per day. In certain diet plans, people strip down the calorie intake to under 900 per day but it didn't work well for me and I never lasted over a week. I felt tired and depressed as a result of that over reduced diet. Too few calorie intake never goes well with your health. However, keeping track of the calories helps you shape up your diet and lose weight fast. My idea is to acknowledge the calorie intake but don't overdo it.

Second Tip: Begin each meal with a BOWL of vegetables salad and a GLASS of water.

Put many raw vegetables that come to your mind except sugary and starchy ones like potato into a bowl and add a low calorie dressing on them. That will be your appetizer. There are no crackers or usual delicious dressings. It should be kept that simple. Start each meal with a lot of water so that you feel satisfied and feel stuffed after meal.

Third Tip: Eat slowly to eat less!

Let's put it this way. When you eat fast, your stomach is so busy chewing on the food that it doesn't get time to send signals to the brain to tell you that you're actually very full! So, eat slowly, give your stomach to process and let yourself know that you've had enough. And, reduce your normal amount of meal little by little. See if you can handle it. But for me, after that bowl of salads and water, I can just only eat half of my normal meal and of course, it means weight loss.

Fourth Tip: Frequent small meals.

If you're thinking about skipping breakfast or refusing dinner, DON'T. It is bad for your body mechanism and your stomach. Eat less, eat frequently, have more salads and drink more water. Then you'll be fine.

Tip Number 5: Have apples or oranges for your dessert!

Obviously, cheese cakes or cookies for your after-dinner dessert is out of question. What I want to remind you is that bananas are also not perfect choices because they contain more calories. You should have fruits with lots of vitamin C and nutritious fruits like apples or oranges or clementine alike. Vitamin C helps you burn fat faster during normal activities and so, it's another good tool for healthy weight loss.

Tip No.6: It's a No for Soda.

Are you in the habit of having sodas while you watch TV or work? Then, now it's the perfect time to drop that habit as sodas can do so much harm to your dental and physical health. What's worse is that they make you gain weight. So, you should replace sodas with water starting now. For your information, 5 liters of water a day can help you lose weight so fast in such a healthy way.

Tip Number 7: Snacks for a quick bite? NO!

It's really comfy to sit on the couch, watch your favorite TV show and have your hand inside that potato chips bowl. Mars bars, snickers, chocolate, cookies, you name it, they are all troublemakers for your weight loss campaign! The best thing to do while watching TV? Stand up once in a while, stretch your arms and legs, you can even do some light exercise to help you lose weight faster!

Tip Number 8: WALK more.

Don't just DRIVE to your work, to the school, to the park, to the supermarket, and to your backyard! Whenever you have to go to somewhere which is within your walking distance, just walk. Give your car a rest. Twenty minutes of walking everyday can give a tremendous boost to losing your weight fast. Walking burns calories fast and help you lose excess fat even! So, even if you can't go to gym and train seriously, just take advantage of your daily routine and walk more.

Tip No.9: No Fast Food please.

I know how tempting it is to just eat outside instead of painstakingly preparing a healthy meal at home. I'm sorry to break it to you but eating fast food is like saying welcome to those extra pounds. Even if you have to dine outside, choose from the menus carefully so that you eat the right food, low calorie food and replace the usual coke with lemon spiced water. It can save you a lot of calories and help you lose weight.

Tip Number 10: Be Consistent!

This is my last tip but it's probably the key to lose weight successfully. Sometimes, you will think that starving yourself for a couple of days can speed up the weight loss process. It's a big mistake. I did it a couple of times on silly impulses and it turned out really bad. I went starving, and then when I couldn't hold it together anymore, I devoured food like crazy only to gain those die-hard pounds again. All I got myself into was a vicious cycle! So, don't even think about starving yourself. Be consistent in your approach. If you want to lose weight permanently, you have to be consistent in your diet plan.
